Wineskin is a tool used to wrap Wine (a Windows compatibility layer) to run Windows software on Mac OS X. Give it a name It will stick it in /Applications/Wineskin/ Right click the app and choose 'Show Package Contents' Launch 'Wineskin' Click Install Software. Im going to get a patched version of WineskinX11 made today and have a Wineskin 2.5. Launch Wineskin Winery and Install an Engine Click Create New Blank Wrapper. It is a wine based program, but it works smoothly for me. Instead of simulating internal Windows logic like a virtual machine or emulator, Wine translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, eliminating the performance and memory penalties of other methods and allowing you to cleanly integrate Windows applications into your desktop. Wineskin Winery is a management and wrapper creation program. If youre using Wineskin, set your wrapper to use XQuartz instead of WineskinX11 and install that version and it should work for now. I am at work so I cant give specifics: Download the windows client. Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, Mac OSX, & BSD. ![]()
